100+ organizations to REI: Lead the outdoor industry away from PFAS

Today a group of more than 100 local, state, and national organizations sent a letter to REI’s CEO Eric Artz calling on the company to lead the outdoor apparel industry in a bold transition away from the entire class of toxic PFAS “forever chemicals.”

Court orders EPA to ban chlorpyrifos!

Last week our allies achieved a big win for Americans’ health! A federal court ordered the Environmental Protection Agency to move forward with a ban on chlorpyrifos—a toxic pesticide known to harm children’s brains that is used on many different crops, including nuts, apples and berries—within 60 days.

Groups call on EPA’s Beck to sit out chemical rulemaking

Today, five environmental health groups called on the EPA Office of General Counsel to require Dr. Nancy Beck, Deputy Assistant Administrator (DAA) for Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention, to recuse herself from ongoing rulemaking on proposed bans of unsafe uses of three dangerous toxic chemicals.
