Photo petition: We love REI but we don’t love its polluting products

You can show your support for the campaign to REI to make sure the products it sells are PFAS-free by posting a photo petition on social media. This helps to put faces to the names of people who have signed the petition and also helps spread the word.

Then we will compile the photo petition images into a mosaic to show REI executives the faces of some of the people who support the campaign, in case they don’t see them all on social media.

  1. We encourage you to pick a photo of yourself enjoying the outdoors!
  2. If you’re tech-savvy, you can add a photo petition overlay using a tool like Canva.com. Find the overlays below.
If you aren’t tech-savvy, no problem! Just send us your photo at [email protected] and tell us which design you want (see below) and whether you want the square or story-sized overlay or both. We will add the overlay to your photo and send it back to you!
  3. Post it on social media as an image post or use the square frame as your profile photo—the text will appear around the edge. Don’t forget to tag REI and use the #OptOutside hashtag!
    Facebook: REI
    Instagram: @rei
    Twitter: @REI
  4. If you created your photo petition yourself, please send it to us at [email protected] so that we can include it in the big photo mosaic!

See the available frames around the examples below. If you have an idea for another frame, let us know!
