Meet Molly Gray: The Full Page Ad on Capitol Hill

Meet Molly Gray  Once again we’re putting Molly Gray and baby Pax front and center. Last month they flew to Washington D.C. to testify before Congress. This time, they star in a full page ad in Roll Call, the daily newspaper read by members of Congress and their staffs. Our goal is to put a human face on the scientific fact that yes, toxic chemicals travel from products to human bodies, in ways we never could have imagined thirty years ago. Just one more good reason to update the leisure suit-era Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).

We’re placing the ad March 4th because that’s when Congress is holding hearings to discuss what can be done about persistent, bioaccumulative, and toxic chemicals (PBTs), a class of chemicals routinely found in the bodies of humans and animals. Our campaign has some strong ideas on the subject, and we’re doing all we can to make sure Congress gets the message. The hearing will be audio webcast at http://www.energycommerce.house.gov.
